"God's intention for each of us is that we should grow to the point where he can empower us to do what we want - then he can turn us loose on the universe!"  Dallas Willard

Worship Celebration at FaithWorks

When do you meet?
Our Worship Gatherings are held on Saturdays at 6pm.
(In July and August we meet on Thursday evenings.)

Where do you meet?
While FaithWorks offices are at 775 Cambridge Street, our Worship Gatherings are held in the CMU Campus at the SW corner of Shaftesbury & Grant Ave. From the corner of Grant and Shaftesbury, go south and take the second driveway to the right.

What should you expect  at FaithWorks Worship Gathering?
We do some singing (mainly contemporary worship songs), sometimes have a skit, some Scripture reading, maybe a quiet moment, a teaching time (sermon), and then people stick around after it ends for coffee and snacks. Each week is a bit unique, as while FaithWorks services are planned out, they don't follow the exact same pattern every time. Part way through our evening, kids age 2 through grade 7 are invited to attend PODS (church on their level). Our worship gatherings typically last for about 1 1/4 hours, but again, people often stick around for awhile to enjoy cookies and company.

Do you have communion?
We celebrate communion every other week. We practice believers communion, meaning that if a person has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, they are invited to participate in communion. One doesn't have to be baptized to take communion at FaithWorks, although we do strongly encourage people to be baptized if they have made a decision for Christ.

What kinds of clothes do people wear to a Saturday evening service?
We dress pretty casually at FaithWorks. We are relaxed about what we wear, but take our faith seriously and seek to grow in relationship with Christ together.

How large is the group?
We typically have a little over 100 people attending a regular FaithWorks service, which includes a lot of young kids. There is always a seat open for you!
